This individual will be responsible for the leading and managing Zeltiq's brand, Coolsculpting. Responsibilities include developing and executing the strategies for developing products and managing the brand in coordination with other departments in the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):
? Responsible for product and brand strategies and executions.
? As product champion, understand all technical and clinical aspects of the products.
? Act as primary interface with engineering and quality control to facilitate customer satisfaction with all aspects of product performance.
? In collaboration with the marketing, sales, and R&D management teams, plan product strategies based on input from customers and consumers through field sales and market research.
? Understand customers? needs using a broad knowledge of the aesthetic marketplace.
? In collaboration with the Marketing Communications Manager, execute all tactics related to professional (customer) and consumer product marketing activities, including those related to product launch activities, i.e. trade shows, workshops, advertising, promotion, public relations, sales tools, collateral materials, scientific publications, web site.
? Communicate globally with Sales managers and distributors in APAC and EMEA to help localize programs based on their needs.
? Research and communicate competitive information to sales and internal management.
? Recommend and execute product pricing strategies.
? Recommend and execute lead generation programs for new business.
? Act as primary interface with Customer Service to communicate marketing programs that will directly affect their customer interaction.
? In collaboration with Sales, manage the development and execution of sales training materials.
? Be proactive in developing customer relationships and participate in maintaining goodwill with current customers.
? Participate with management in forecasting volume.
? Recommend and manage market research activities on an as needed basis to remain current with product and market trends.
? With input from field and customers, analyze and communicate to senior management product trends that may require change in strategic direction.
? Act as primary interface with Clinical department to understand and communicate customer and patient events that could positively or negatively influence the business.
? Act as primary interface with field on all product and brand issues.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
? Travel required to trade shows, special events and co-travel with Sales team members in the field as needed
? On-going interface with all departments in the organization to promote marketing department?s goals.
? BA/BS in Business or a Life Science-related field. MBA preferred.
? Minimum of five years? work experience with at least two years in a product management role within a consumer and/or medical device company.
? Must have previous experience with product market launch activities
? Must have strong knowledge of the aesthetic marketplace/industry. Individuals with established relationships with aesthetic industry KOL?s are preferred
? A combination of upstream technical innovation and downstream creative Marketing Communications skills.
? Exceptional communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills; cross-functional relationship building and collaboration skills are a must.
? Strong demonstrated ability to effectively manage, collect input, and lead to results, cross-functional teams.
? Global experience a plus.
? Excellent verbal and written English skills.
? Strong organization skills including ability to plan effectively, and to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
? Proven creativity, leadership and problem-solving skills.
? Self-motivation and a positive attitude are highly desired.
? Solid mathematical skills.
? Excellent interpersonal skills.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
? Ability to travel, up to 25%. Overnight and weekend travel may be required. (International travel may be required)
? Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with FDA?s Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO13485, the Canadian Medical Device Regulations, and all other international regulatory requirements with which ZELTIQ complies.
