Sr. Product/Operations Manager Validity Sensors

Validity develops the world?s most durable, flexible and highest performing biometric fingerprint sensors for communication and information devices targeted at the PC, Mobile, Portable Media and Access Control markets. Validity?s biometric security products enable a wide range of convenient features including password replacement, identity verification, and centralized management for corporate network security, secure wireless transactions, protection of portable data, and access control.
Validity sees a tremendous opportunity for biometric devices in multiple consumer electronics segments due to an increased need to address security concerns. To help with projected growth, we are expanding our worldwide field teams to engage with customers and help them bring their solutions to market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for NPI and transfer to manufacturing of Mobile products and packages. Support Sr. Director of Operation with strategic inputs and interface with Taiwan Operation team.
Responsible for Mobile Product Line
Support mobile customers in all aspects, including product, quality, and delivery
Manage engineering and logistics relationship with sub-assembly partners
Work with H/W and S/W engineering during NPI and transfer to manufacturing
Product Documentation, and manage Document Control
Interface with Foundry during NTO and RTO
Provide support to Taiwan Operation team
Quality, yield improvement programs
Aggressive Cost reduction program
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing of semiconductor devices. 20 years or more experience is preferred.
Direct experience in NPI, Product/Test Engineering, Foundry Management and/or senior level Operations experience in Fabless semiconductor is a must
Semiconductor experience must include CMOS processes from outsourced foundries.
Experience and relationships with major foundry, such as TSMC is a must
Flip Chip bumping, and Chip-on-Flex and BGA packages is a plus.
Experience in Mobile market and customers
Experience in modules and sub-assemblies
Well rounded experience in product management, quality assurance, cost reduction, yield improvement, production planning
EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree is a minimum requirement
Preferred degrees in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or IEOR
Communication Skills
Good communication skills are required
Other languages such as Japanese, Korean, or Chinese are a plus.
