Sr. QA Engineer - Cloud Services Team Webroot Software
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Webroot is seeking an experienced, results-focused Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer for our Cloud Services team. The successful candidate will be working on market leading SaaS security products involving PC, Mac, Mobile and Web Products and will take point on performing a variety of complex manual and automated testing. These tasks require planning, scheduling and testing to ensure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. This position requires communication with developers, product managers, usability engineers and technical support specialists on issues, and this individual will operate under minimal supervision. This position also involves setting up QA environments and managing the same on a day-to-day basis. Having a pro-active approach. Utilizing your problem solving and analytical thinking to detect, resolve and recommend new solutions to QA issues will make you a QA superstar.
As our San Mateo Based Sr QA Engineer, you will be a key piece our Cloud Services QA team, collaborating with teams in a distributed environment across multiple geo locations working on various projects involving consumer and enterprise products on PC, Mac, Web and Mobile environments.
You will help in ensuring that the end product software releases across different environments, including Windows, Linux, and mobile, meet Quality Assurance specifications with regard to expected features, functionality and quality. You will implement test plans with respect to the finalized requirements documents, product descriptions, and technical design specifications. Provide necessary feedback to software developers and designers to eliminate defects within the product as early in the development process as possible. You will be a key participant in all phases of the project, working with the development team to create comprehensive engineering documents and test strategy from review of requirements and design to final system testing and launch. Your experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks for web and mobile-based products will be critical to ensure that the creation test and user case scenarios are in place to meet the assigned requirements, while identifying defect descriptions and creating support materials to input into the defect tracking system.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor?s degree in technology, equivalent industry experience is acceptable.
? Proven work experience with mobile software applications on Android and/or iOS devices
? Experience in developing automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG or related tools.
? Experience in development, research or product testing on PC, Mac, Web and Mobile products.
? Experience in one or more programming tools such as Java, Perl, Ruby or Python.
? Experience in windows and linux environments for software deployment processes.
? Experience working with Software Quality Methodologies, principles and processes
? Thorough understanding of the various types and brands of mobile devices available on the market and their capabilities/limitations.
? Good knowledge of software management and release processes.
? Experience with automation and performance profiling tools for mobile and web platforms.
? Previous programming experience in at least one language and white box testing.
? Ability to work independently and interact with developers on a regular basis.
? Experience working in an Agile development environment a plus
