Summary
Are you a QA engineer who is passionate about quality and end user experience? We at EcoFactor are seeking an exceptionally talented QA engineer who is ready to take ownership of features and be a representative for end users in providing world class intuitive web applications, distributed device management and real-time services. This is a great role for a QA engineer to have a direct impact on the adoption of energy efficiency. You can truly make a difference here!
Experience (Required)
? 5+ years of experience testing large-scale SaaS applications in Java or equivalent
? 3+ experience in Java or equivalent OO language
? Solid understanding of software development and QA process (Agile preferred)
? SQL experience with basic queries
? Selenium and web service testing experience
? Extensive work experience with the development process and the integration of the QA process
? Experience in active participation in software development process by providing feedback on product design, requirements, schedule and risk
? Deep understanding of performance and scalability issues of high scale fault tolerant distributed architectures
Experience (Desired)
? Familiarity with test frameworks is highly desired
? Past startup experience working on a high profile web service
? Experience with server-side web frameworks like Spring and Hibernate/JPA
Skills
? Detail oriented and self-motivated
? Ability to work in a deadline oriented, and fast paced environment
? Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team of developers
? Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
? Excellent sense of development/QA/release process
? Willingness to learn and to teach
? Understanding and appreciation for high quality code and associated best practices
? BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
