Description
The Sr. Quality manager will be responsible for overall quality assurance for FireEye New Product Introduction (NPI) HW quality and also monitor field HW/SW quality and champion Quality process/procedures with FireEye. This is a leadership position with high visibility with the company.
The Sr. Quality will be responsible for implementing HW/SW development practices that ensure:
Initial release quality,
Defect reduction
Quality metrics reporting in terms of RMA and Field Failure rates
Supplier quality control
Mange team of HW Quality engineers
Functions
Champions HW and SW quality within the organization
Establish HW Quality Assurance Plan for NPI programs
Support continuous improvements for Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) to ensure Voice of Customer is adequately captured and translated into product Critical-to-Quality requirements.
Collaborate with hardware development engineering to ensure the right level of proactive focus is occurring & product meet Design for Excellence (DFX) guidelines
Ensure that appropriate hardware verification & validation testing or other techniques are being executed to ensure both functional & non-functional requirements are addressed.
Attend design reviews and meetings as required to ensure the hardware engineering development process and product conforms to required standards & procedures. Ensure product meets the required quality, reliability, and performance expectations.
Support optimization of new and current designs for improved reliability through analysis of field samples, statistical analysis and design changes as deemed necessary.
Utilize statistical techniques such as Weibull analysis to predict product failure rates and quantifies improvement activities.
Monitor customer returns for failure trends to determine if any action is required to make our hardware products more robust for the customer use environments.
Conduct of NPI/ Technology Process Audits, reporting non-compliances & driving to closure
Reporting and maintaining QA Metrics and QA Dashboard
Review current policies and improvise existing quality standards/processes
Must be familiar with the ISO 9001 Standard and Quality Management System requirements. Must have ability to work with Manufacturing or suppliers to obtain clear and concise root cause/ corrective action
Education: Bachelor or Master of Science in Electronics/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience: Minimum of 10+years in leading Quality teams.
