Sr. Revenue Recognition and Contract Analyst
ServiceSource International conducts a complex business in which we develop custom solutions for High-Tech clients around the world. This creates complex Revenue Recognition opportunities & requires that we employ exceptional professionals in this capacity. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Revenue the Sr. Revenue & Contract analyst will contribute to the continued improvement of our systems & processes as well as own specific contracts & their revenue recognition. This may involve creating revenue recognition checklist, system set up for contracts and amendments in WorkDay & administration of all revenue close related tasks including: entries, analysis, reporting and audit schedules. In this role the successful candidate will interact with FP&A, the Agency Billing team, Client Delivery, Customer Success, Professional Service and Legal teams.
Prepare revenue recognition checklists for our accounting files and external audit review
Manage and coordinate non-routine invoicing requirements with the Agency Billing team.
Set up contract information, billing schedules, and revenue recognition schedules
Manage contract changes from new amendments or other agreements
Work closely with the Agency Billing team to review the periodic release of invoices and/or revenue recognition
Assist in the monthly and quarterly Revenue related close procedures
Review billing entries to ensure proper accounting per GAAP and Company policies
Prepare month end schedules and analysis.
Assist in the detailed review of Deferred Revenue, AR , and Unbilled AR
Prepare detailed Analysis for Clawback reserves, credit reserves, bad debt etc
Assist in responding to various contract management related contract or accounting issues and queries about contract terms and conditions
Liaise with external auditors in connection with revenue related audit procedures.
Assist in maintaining and updating / identifying/ implementing applicable internal controls procedures and documentation for Order To Cash and support audits of internal controls.
Assist in the documentation of Order to Cash policies and procedures
Ad-hoc Reporting and Analytics as well as other process or control improvements as needed
CPA with 4-6 years of combined Public Accounting and industry experience with strong analytical, business partnering, and interpersonal skills.
BA in Accounting or Finance
Good organizational and communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of Revenue Recognition GAAP, specifically ASC 985-605, ASC 605-25, EITF 01-09, EITF99-19, SAB 104, ASU2009-13 and ASU 2009-14.
