JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary of Functions:
Due to continued growth we are seeking a Sr. RF Test Engineer at our 2000+ employee reverse logistics and cell phone repair center in Ft. Worth.
Sr. RF Test Engineer, Engineering Services is responsible for assuring New Breed?s test technology and lab technical capabilities for smart phones meet both our internal needs for triaging product in a timely, efficient and effective manner, as well as our client?s needs for insight into, and information regarding, product and process performance.
Scope of responsibilities will include:
No Trouble Found device-level tests and investigations
Design and execution of experiments and characterizing studies
Interacting with our clients and client technical staff
Assuring adequacy of capital equipment and infrastructure to accomplish the mission
Training RF technicians in troubleshooting, calibration and preventative maintenance of RF test equipment
Developing and implementing RF test roadmaps and strategic and tactical plans
Continuously improving New Breed?s ?state of the art" in RF testing
Providing professional and credible consulting to clients and OEM suppliers regarding RF test methodologies, product and process design and execution.
Drive RF measurement methodology and basis for fail limits, to align to industry standards and competitive benchmarking data
Serve as key technical resource for deployment of RF parametric testing for all OEMs and models
The RF Test Engineer will be required to interact with key client personnel and as such must be able to speak to complex issues across a wide technical and non-technical constituency. The Engineer?s communications are expected to be clear, concise and audience-aware. Keenly aware that our Engineering data may be used to support key business decisions by our client, the Engineer assures New Breed Engineering reports are of the highest quality and integrity.
The chosen candidates will be personally comfortable (though not necessarily an expert in all disciplines) with Test Engineering, Quality and Reliability Engineering concepts and practices, Engineering Statistics, Process Controls, ANOVA, Design of Experiments, Data Reduction, and good laboratory practices.
The Test Engineer will be very familiar with cell phone design, assembly, supply chain and test practices.
This is position requires a 4 year degree in Engineering or similar, cell phone experience, and failure analysis experience. An extensive RF engineering background and exposure to 4G LTE technology is a must. Audio and Imaging test experience is highly desirable.
