Overview:
Carrier IQ is seeking a Senior Sales Director with focus on the US Network Operator and Strategic Partners. This position requires experience in selling complex solutions across diverse groups within the operator (eg. Customer Care, Marketing, RF, Network Services and Devices). Having experience selling device integrated applications to large mobile providers and mobile strategy companies an advantage for this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent - MS/MBA strongly preferred; typically over 12 years experience within sales and marketing in the mobile telecoms space. Experience of enterprise software, customer care solutions, device management, remote diagnostics and/or wireless device technology a plus.
Proven ability in value based selling closing multiple year multi-million dollar deals to new and existing prospects and customers. Adept at assessing client needs, developing solutions, creating ROI value propositions, developing and delivering proposals.
Direct and recent experience of selling to a broad range of mobile operators, particularly US tier-1 organizations (Sprint and/or T-Mobile) and strategic partners (IBM, Accenture etc) with the ability to engage rapidly from senior operational management to CxO level.
Demonstrated professional stability and commitment as well as the ability to initiate, maintain, and sustain successful long-term Executive relationships with clients and/or the ability to initiate cold calls, to establish client rapport and to persuasively present and represent CIQ's business capabilities including:
Strong, clear, and concise writing skills.
Adaptability to changing requirements dictated by technical/professional services industry and the CIQ team environment. Must have excellent multi-task capabilities and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to sound, ethical, moral, and legal business standards and practices.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Sales Director will be responsible for generating business revenue of 3M to 5M per year from each new and existing assigned accounts for Carrier IQ.
Establishing and managing client relationships during life cycle of the CIQ relationship, the individual will work independently with freedom to determine results and methods within their business segment, receiving general direction from SVP, Operations and Worldwide Sales.
The individual will be accountable for the attainment of annual revenue growth objectives. They will further support business unit sales goals by providing input to the company-wide strategy process and by serving as a liaison with business development, professional services and legal groups. The role will involve regular interaction with other executive level management both internally and externally (customer) to preserve base revenue and drive revenue growth.
Participation in various corporate presentations, client meetings, vendor and team meetings to facilitate, coordinate, and/or negotiate contracts and/or other related Carrier IQ business interests will be an integral part of the role as will participation in trade shows, conferences, etc. for the purpose of sustaining industry and client relationships.
