The Senior Sales Educational Specialist is responsible for successful pre sale support to the sales staff in relation to product capabilities and educational sales strategy. This individual will have excellent interpersonal skills and have proven customer-facing skills.
Key Duties / Responsibilities

Works with RFP team to deliver high-quality, accurate and educationally sound RFP responses.
Assists with sales strategy, planning, and presentation of RFP responses.
Acts as the client advocate during the sales to implementation hand off.
Conducts the sales to implementation hand-off meetings
Identifies short term and long term state and/or district educational and technological goals and identifies product gaps in relation to those goals.
Establishes customer product/educational expectations.
Provides key direction for implementation plans during the sales process.
Works with the client to provide suggestions and recommendations for efficient and effective implementation of the products based on their educational requirements.
Understands the various deployment options of the Pinnacle Suite products and maps these options to fulfill real-world client workflows and needs.?
Shares client's needs and effectively communicates them to the implementation staff and provides them with product functional specs as needed.
Promotes and maintains a positive relationship between the client and the organization.
Promotes and maintains a positive relationship between sales and implementation.
Comfortable in leadership positions to make certain education subject matter expertise is spread throughout sales.
Ability to present information to groups of people in diverse environments including: trade shows, conferences, school board meetings, etc.
Education & Knowledge Required
Masters Degree in Education or higher.
Experience / Skills / Abilities Required
At least 5 years experience in the K-12 classroom.
At least 2 years K-12 district level experience.
Highly organized with the ability to learn quickly, understand and explain educational and technical information.?
Must be able to analyze client issues and develop creative product solutions which minimize risk and ensure successful deployment of software solutions to meet demands of education customers.?
Must work effectively under pressure in order to meet the needs of the sales organization and client base.
Quickly establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
Assist in managing accounts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to comprehend and communicate educational and technical information precisely.?
Good interpersonal skills; highly motivated and flexible.?
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.?
Works well independently and in a team environment
Ability to travel up to 80%.
