The Sr. Sales Engineer plays a critical role to sales and product management in securing new partners and clients. You will serve as the product and technology adviser, as well as technical project manager for key clients, prospects and software integration partners.
This position will work closely with the sales, product management and engineering teams to ensure success of client and software partner implementations from initial scoping and planning, through implementation and testing, and on to full launch, growing client engagements.
Manage ongoing relationships with existing integration partners and clients including analyzing data, providing reporting and proposing/managing service enhancements
Provide technical and subject matter support to the sales team in acquiring new customers/partners
Develop in-depth knowledge of our offerings and how they integrate and interact with our customers? systems and requirements
Provide recommendations to the product team for new ?connectors? to customer digital properties, from website personalization to measurement to media buying
Manage product operations and technical issue resolution, advise customers and partners on optimal configuration, and operate as general tech-to-business translator where needed
Identify customer impacting technical issues, escalate and manage to resolution
Proactively identify any relevant opportunities for growth, build a relationship of trusted product and technical adviser, and deliver seamless operations between the client and BlueCava
Identify tools and product customization which could enable us to better address our partners? technology and business needs and work with Product teams to prioritize develop, gather requirements, test and launch such improvements.
Work with prospective partners and clients to gather business requirements, goals, and insights for enhancing our services
At least 5 years in a pre or post sales technical consulting or technical implementation role
The position requires strong business, technical and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build good relationships and interact effectively with technical and business counterparts at clients
Positive attitude, good sense of humor and team focus
The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer management capabilities, a good instinct for sales, strong project management skills and proficiency in the technologies used in online advertising
Ability to create and deliver convincing arguments, including ability to make technical presentations, write service proposals and statements of work
Experience generating and maintaining reports; performing data collection and analysis
Strong troubleshooting skills
Experience in online advertising, data management a plus
BA/BS or equivalent required
