The Sr. Sales Recruiter is responsible for developing a strong sales pipeline for candidates through networking, direct sourcing, internet mining and applicant tracking tools. Consults with management to define candidate qualifications. Interprets the organization?s recruiting strategy, identifies sources, develops and executes recruiting plans to meet the organization?s staff needs. Utilizes multiple channels to recruit candidates, which may include, but is not limited to: colleges, association meetings, meet ups, industry meetings, job fairs, Internet and employee referrals. Identifies, screens and interviews qualified candidates. Manages interview process to ensure consistency and to guide managers. Must possess working knowledge of sales compensation /commission plans. Ability to establish strong relationships with various recruitment sources to secure a candidate pool as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
? Understands business needs and translates them to staffing needs.
? Works with HR Business partners to understand workforce planning and helps to build sales recruiting strategy.
? Stays abreast of industry trends and uses them to better understand the market
? Proactively builds relationships with potential candidates even if there aren?t current openings.
? Creatively source for open sales roles and pipelining efforts
? Conduct candidate screenings and qualification interviews
? Utilizes and maintains applicant tracking system, understands the candidate flow processes and approach along with the importance of metrics
? Understand the business requirements and needs
? Leads team de-briefs with hiring managers to calibrate candidates and refine sourcing plan if necessary
? Negotiates offers of employment to qualified candidates
? Train hiring managers and interview teams on interview process and tools and ensures teams are following process
? Track and generate activity reports for management
? Performs other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
? Experience sourcing passive candidates for sales positions, advertising/digital industry knowledge a plus.
? Interpersonal and organizational savvy relates well to others, builds relationships with all levels, quick study with people.
? Strong knowledge of the Chicago sales community, including networking groups
? Understand applicant tracking systems, candidate management processes and approach along with the importance of metrics.
? Excellent customer service skills.
? Understand company benefits and ability to communicate to candidates and answer questions
? Ability to work independently.
? Excellent time management, judgment skills and focused attention to detail
? Ability to communicate effectively in writing to include business correspondence and Internet (email) communications.
? Intermediate skill level using Word, E-mail and the Internet.
? Strong negotiation, listening, organization, closing, and phone skills.
? Ability to accomplish multiple task
? Always looks for better ways to accomplish tasks
Education: Bachelor?s degree preferred
Years of Experience: 10 - 15 years of recruitment experience required, with a minimum of 6 years sales recruiting experience necessary.
