Position Summary
The Sr. SDE for the User Experience will work collaboratively with the UI development team to deliver market leading usability, accessibility and intuitive user experience for our education solutions. The UI platform will need to make it efficient to deliver a truly compelling experience in multiple browsers and mobile devices with exceptional performance and flexibility. Qualified candidates with have experience with HTML5, mobile phone and tablet development experience using modern toolsets.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Interface with highly technical development team leadership, and be capable of owning the full lifecycle development of assigned areas from detailed design to unit test
Interface with product management team members to gain requirements and design clarity based on the business requirements, Use Cases, and functional specifications provided
Design and develop innovative technology solutions conforming to the business requirements
Document and execute unit tests to ensure business requirements are met
Submit accurate progress reports for each project to management
Provide input for estimation and project schedules for successful and timely completion of projects.
Prioritize and work multiple tasks across multiple projects or work efforts.
Follow SDLC methodology to ensure delivery of a quality product including appropriate change control and configuration management (branching) to ensure integrity of the product environments.
Mentor other team members.
Provide technical assistance to users support team.
Provide on call support as required. Monitor and resolve production support requirements. Provide appropriate follow up and status as per defined process.

Qualifications
Education & Knowledge Required
A BS Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and experience
Experience / Skills / Abilities Required
Development level based experience:
5-10 years of experience in object oriented analysis, design and development; including n-tier web applications and client-server applications.
5 plus years of experience with Java SE 6 or C#
ASP.Net experience a plus
Experience with Javascript/Ajax/jQuery/CSS programming
Experience with SQL Server and T-SQL programming a plus
Experience First-hand professional experience using Eclipse or Visual Studio. TFS experience a plus.
Results-oriented, self-motivated, and possess a willingness and aptitude to learn and grow with new software development technologies and techniques.
