POSITION: Sr. Software Developer
LOCATION: Denver, CO
Envestnet has an open position for a hard-working, exceptional developer with an entrepreneurial spirit. The candidate will be developing enhancements to an investment research web application, and assisting with efforts to integrate functionality into a Java application. The developer should feel comfortable working in all tiers of the application including web forms/MVC pages, business objects, data access classes, and stored procedures. Projects will involve close collaboration with subject matter experts and business owners to ensure success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Deliver to aggressive product release schedules working as a cooperative team member in an agile development environment
?Enhance and maintain custom .NET web applications in support of the business needs
?Implement Business Rules in mid-tier assemblies, and object-data mapping in data-tier assemblies
?Manage tables and write stored procedures in the SQL Server 2008 database
?Program the API using XML Web Services and WCF
?Assist with effort to integrate functionality into a Java application
QUALIFICATIONS:
?Computer Science, Information Systems or related bachelor?s degree
?5-7 years application development within an established environment
?Solid experience with Object Oriented design and programming
?Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced, cooperative team environment
?Applied Proficiency using C# and VB.NET with .NET Framework 3.5 or 4.0
?Experience writing web applications with ASP.NET, MVC, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and CSS
?Experience designing tables and creating stored procedures in SQL Server 2008
?Experience writing unit and integration tests
?Knowledge of design patterns preferred
?Experience with Java preferred
?Experience with WCF and XML Web Services preferred
?Experience with Agile/Scrum software development practices and methodologies preferred
?Additional education or experience in the financial services industry preferred
