Summary:

We seek a highly skilled Java server-side expert to join us in careful evolution and proofing of our core systems architecture.
Our products support complex content aggregation, sophisticated business models, streaming document delivery, and unique user interaction. They are delivered as fully virtualized and cloud-based services with particular emphasis on automated deployment and management techniques, rooted in our core development processes.

The Position:
This is a hands-on position, requiring solid design and coding skills and strong technical communications. We are primarily a UNIX/Linux shop, with heavy emphasis on Java server technologies. To be considered a qualified candidate, you must have at least 5 years significant experience as a software engineer in a formal product development environment. You must have implemented successful solutions to a variety of challenges in design and coding, with significant experience in scalability, optimization, and large-scale/white-box testing.

Core experience we are looking for: We require that you be able to demonstrate experience in low level Java networked service development, not just J2EE, involving such areas as:

Multi-threading
Non-blocking I/O
Complex Network Services
Framework Design
Performance Tuning
Clustering
Automated testing: from Unit testing of modules, through assurance of module dependencies, and full deployment proofing
And, we expect you to provide specific reference to:
Well developed debugging and analytic skills
Writing skills for both specification development, team communication, and technical planning for complex deployments
Working in a team, with large volumes of code, multiple branches, formal integration and test cycles
Use of sophisticated development environments, code management tools, and wiki-based communication

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years significant experience as a software engineer using Java.
2 years of Unit/Module Test Automation experience
2 year performance uting in a service oriented architecture.
