Pearson, Inc. seeks a Sr. Software Developer to provide senior software
development support for suite of software applications and on-line applications
educational assessments and other item management systems. Apply advanced
software development life cycle concepts, practices and procedures, to
design, develop, implement and maintain web-based software solutions in an
agile development environment using J2EE and Java. Analyze and understand
previously written software code to modify and maintain code from
specifications. Analyze technical requirements, design, code and test of
new components. Development includes front-end UI development, middleware
development, and back-end database connectivity for application.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer
Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Information Systems or equivalent
foreign degree as determined by a written evaluation and 5 years of progressive
post baccalaureate experience as a programmer analyst, software engineer,
software developer, systems engineer or combination of these roles in lifecycle
software design, development, testing and debugging of software code using
Java, JSF, Primefaces, J2EE, Tomcat or Apache Web Server open source tools,
Eclipse Helios, Spring, Oracle PL/SQL, iText, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, CSV, XLS,
MVC, and Perforce (P4).
Alternatively,
we accept a Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Information Systems or
equivalent foreign degree as determined by a written evaluation and 2 years of
progressive post baccalaureate experience as a programmer analyst, software
engineer, software developer, systems engineer or combination of these roles in
lifecycle software design, development, testing and debugging of software code
using Java, JSF, Primefaces, J2EE, Tomcat or Apache Web Server open source
tools, Eclipse Helios, Spring, Oracle PL/SQL, iText, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, CSV,
