Sr. Software Engineer - Cloud Services Memeo

Memeo is seeking a seasoned Web Service Developer to join our team developing advanced software solutions to help users manage and protect their digital life. This is a position for a server-side developer/architect who loves learning, using the latest technologies and building a scalable cloud infrastructure that will support massive number of users and data volumes. This person has architected or contributed heavily to a large-scale Web service that has scaled to millions of users, and was involved in solving the difficult problems of going from "working" to "scaling" with high uptime and reliability.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other organization and management to support key strategic initiatives
- Participate in all phases of the software development cycle from design, implementation to deployment.
- Develop a scalable, highly performing distributed systems
- Work on emerging issues dealing with large volumes of data
- Write clean and elegant code
- Create automated integration and unit tests

Skills:
- In depth knowledge of state-of-the-art Web architecture, both front-end and back-end technologies
- Advanced knowledge of PHP5, object oriented design and database design
- Advanced knowledge of Apache and related technologies
- Understanding of database technology and theory of operation is highly desired
- Experience with Python/DJango and/or Ruby on Rails a plus
- Expert understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, DOM and Linux
- Expert understanding of C/C++
- Experience with cloud computing technology and platforms, such as AWS
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong desire to produce high quality work
- Strong communication skills, work well in a team, and proactive on various tasks
- Love of software engineering and desire to learn new technologies
- 8+ years of fast paced web development

Education:
Minimum BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
