Responsibilities:
Design and develop computer software, specifically the overall data warehouse architecture model of our total solution product. This includes:
recommend technologies and tools for the various components of the solution;
define and direct the implementation of security requirements;
define and direct metadata standards; and leverage advanced skills in database programming and modeling skills (including SQL, PL/SQL, OLAP, STAR, and dimensional, logical, and physical data modeling) as well as database development and administration knowledge in IBM DB2, Oracle, MySQL, and/or Postgres.
Working closely with Product Management and QA, this role will be responsible for the architecture and development of Blurb's front end.
Requirements:
Master?s degree in computer science, computer information systems, engineering, or a related field
At least five years of experience in data warehouse architecture utilizing OLAP and data warehousing concepts as well as ETL design and development using tools such as PowerCenter and DataStage.
Experience must also include (1) all aspects of data warehouse lifecycle, including star schema design, data analysis, and performance tuning and archiving; (2) major data modeling tools including ERwin and/or Data Architect (including administration); and (3) MicroStrategy.
At least 5 years of industry experience
