Responsibilities:Participate in the full software development lifecycle from prototyping and design to release.
Implement online applications and services using Java and related technologies.
Evaluate and recommend processes and technologies that would improve the productivity of the group.
Qualifications:
5 years of online application development experience.
3+ years experience with Java, including experience with and fundamental understanding of J2EE and related technologies.
Experience with one or more high volume, distributed J2EE-based applications or services with high-availability SLAs.
Experience with OO analysis/design concepts.
Experience identifying and addressing performance and scalability issues.
Knowledge of DML/DDL to work with RDBMS is required.
Knowledge of and experience in applying design pattern and software development best practices.
Passion for delivering high quality products.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working with cross-functional teams from multiple departments.
Experience developing user interfaces that are easy to understand and use.
Bachelors degree (Masters is a plus) in computer science or related engineering field.
Experience with Apache Tomcat, Spring Framework, iBATIS, Maven is a definite plus.
Experience with T-SQL is a plus.
Experience with UML is a plus.
Experience with one or more software development methodologies is a plus.
Familiarity with market research and/or online survey tools is a plus.
