Sr. Software Engineer - Java Security Server Vormetric

Based in San Jose, California, Vormetric Inc. is a fast growing company developing encryption and key management products for the enterprise market. We are looking for a senior software engineer to play a key role in our server team. The engineer will have excellent knowledge of Java Server development and good understanding of metrics and factors that influence the performance of multi-threaded, scalable Java server applications. This engineer will have experience in high availability, high-performance, database-centric Enterprise-class software development. He or she should have the ability and willingness to proactively interact with the team and achieve results in a dynamic small company environment.Responsibilities:
This engineer will be exposed to all parts of the Java Security Server. In this position, he/she will
Work closely with the development manager to evaluate new feature requests, prototype, design and implement new software components
Develop and execute tests to ensure quality before hand-off to QA
Analyze performance of components and the overall system to identify bottlenecks, and suggest detailed improvements in the code / architecture would be required
Excellent communications skills to share the hi-level architecture and design of components
Keep up-to-date with technical developments in the field of server development and security
Requirements:
BSCS required, MSCS desired
8 years+ software development experience
Solid experience with SQL programming and development experience in designing and implementing database schemas
Prior experience in the areas of performance turning, scalability, clustering, and server reliability
Hands on experience and clear understanding of JBOSS, especially with high volume data traffic deployment. Solid core Java programming skills
Experience with object oriented design methodology and design
Solid Experience in Java Messaging System (JMS) in high volume environment using ActiveMQ, JbossMQ
Experience with object ? relational persistence paradigms (e.g. Hibernate)
Experience with JCE, JSSE, OpenSSL, PKI, PKCS standards
Proficient at problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and problem solving
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self driven quick learner with attention to details and quality
Additional Requirements:
DB2 experience
Cloud and network communication related experience
Familiar with encryption Algorithms is a plus
