Cafepress is looking for bright software developers to do internal tools development for Cafepress.com. We are a lean and nimble group supporting an aggressive growth business beginning its second decade of innovation and dominance in the print-on-demand space. You will work on small teams to solve small, high-impact business problems, as well as maintaining and upgrading an existing codebase. If you are a great problem solver, a fast learner, a strong team player, and enjoy rapid iterative development, then please review the requirements below and get in touch.? At least five years of professional experience delivering software in a compiled, Object Oriented language (C# or VB.NET, Java)
? At least three years of professional experience contributing to a client-server or web application, including the design and implementation
? Excellent data modeling and data management skills. Fluency in SQL, and deep understanding of costs of various kinds of data fetching (from db, from disk, from memory, etc)
? Conversant in Gang of Four design patterns and organizational anti-patterns
? Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently
? Demonstrated ability to quickly digest, work within, refactor and improve existing codebase
? Successfully lead projects end-to-end, from gathering specs to deploying software into production.
? Proven success in deploying both build and buy scenarios.
? Demonstrated mastery of both large and small-scale solutions
? Proven ability to evaluate landscape of existing solutions, both open-source and commercial, before embarking on authoring a solution from scratch
? Comfortable with front-end web programming (HTML/Javascript, JSON/XML)
? Excellent verbal communication--succinct, direct, clear
? Excellent written communication--professional, well-organized, audience appropriate
? Steadfast
