Sr. Software Engineer - Product Development MarketLive
The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible architecture and development of products. This role requires an individual who works well with in the development team, across projects with QA and Professional Services, leads development projects, and is able to work with Product Management to help define new deliverables.Must be able to quickly learn a complex eCommerce solution, be a self starter, have extensive experience architecting complex, transactional, software solutions. Discipline in development methodology including, open communications during architecture and design phase, attention and timeliness of documentation are attributes for a successful candidate.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
7+ years experience in Product Development
Experience with open source frameworks (Struts, Spring, Hibernate)
Experience architect designing, implementing highly scalable, transactional, web applications
Experience working with Product Management, IAs to refine product requirements, user interfaces and make architectural tradeoff given requirements
Experience developing eCommerce solutions
5+ years Project Lead for software products
8+ years implementing web services in Java for the UNIX, LINUX platforms
Strong oral, written communications skills
Good team player, able to drive resolution of competing architectural design.
Experience mentoring, coaching, and educating other members of the development team
Self disciplined in a development environment that requires unit testing, documentation, adherence to coding standards and naming conventions
Attention to detail, highly self-motivated
Desired Skills:
Working with Product Management and IA to define and scope deliverables
Architect and implement a eCommerce solutions
Work closely with other engineers and architects to develop and enhance technical roadmap
Work collaboratively with development, QA, IA, Product Management to deliver product
Working closely with Professional Services to roll out new products
