Design, develop, and implement features on the ZebOS Networking platform.
Specific duties will include feature definition, engineering design, software implementation, unit testing, and SQA support throughout the entire development cycle
Interact with marketing and customer support in addressing customer feature requests, issues and technical requirements
Embedded software development using one or more silicon from vendors such as Broadcom, Marvell, Wintegra or Fulcrum; software development debugging using C;
Develop requirements and design documents;
Perform coding and unit testing;
Provide technical consultation to other team members;
Mentor junior level engineers;
Utilize experience with embedded platforms, using Broadcom SDK integration, Layer 2 and Metro Ethernet protocols, Routing Protocols; Networking Protocol Design, L2 and L3 embedded design; TCP/IP and Socket Programming; Network processors and switching ASICs; Embedded Linux environments; Programming and Debugging using C, Layer2 switching (xSTP, VLANs, QoS, etc, Layer3 (RIP, OSPF/CSPF), and MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE, PWE).
Requirements:
M.Sc.-- degree (or equivalent-) in EE, CS, CE or related field such as Electronics & Communication Engineering and three (3)-- years of related experience.
Requires experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) embedded platforms (Linux, Vxworks); network processor sdks (Broadcom SDK); Routing and Switches architecture; chassis based architecture; spanning tree protocols (MSTP (802.1s), RSTP (802.1w), VLAN (802.1 Q), Layer 3 IPV4, IPV6); unicast and multicast forwarding; and Metro Ethernet technologies.
--Will accept a B.Sc. (or equivalent-) in EE, CS, CE or related field such as Elec. & Comm. Engineering followed by five (5) years of progressive experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer or Technical Architect; or any other suitable combination of education, training or experience.
