Sr. Software Engineer2 Optovue

This position is an important part of a team of engineers and will provide hands on software development for back-end/front-end web application in Linux and desktop application in Windows.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a secure website.
Develop desktop application.
Working closely with Marketing and Software teams in developing new features.
Working closely with QA in fixing bugs and optimization issues.

Qualifications:

Must have 5+ years of professional experience in back-end web programming for large-scale website using PHP/Java, MySQL, Apache, XML, YAML, etc.
Expertise in designing RESTful web services for web consumer applications.
Knowledge in front-end developing using HTML, XHTML, CSS, FLEX or AJAX. Experience with cross-browser compatibility issues.
Solid experience with database design and development for MySQL and/or MS SQL.
Experience with developing secure web applications using HTTPS, SSL, public key security scheme, authentication, etc.
Comfortable in Unix/Linux environment to accomplish tasks like writing shell scripts, configure web server, etc.
Experience with C++ in MFC/.NET desktop application is preferred.
Strong programming skills, experience with OOP/OOD, refactoring, and design patterns.
Demonstrated skills in planning, designing, and implementing from software requirement specifications.

Requirements:

BS/MS/PhD. degree in software engineering or computer science.
Minimum 10 years of industrial experience in related software design.
Good communication and documentation skills are essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adaptive and flexible working attitude, willing to optimize the work in a fast change environment.
Knowledge of medical imaging such as X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI, and optical image, EMR and DICOM standard are highly desired.
