NCS Pearson, Inc. seeks a Sr. Software QA Analyst (Assessment & Information) in Iowa City, Iowa. Conduct final end-to-end testing of educational assessment software product before public release. Create test plans, test cases and documentation of processes. Determine plans for managing requirements collection and help create estimates for project completion. Document and track software defects and issues found during testing. Mentor team members in best practices for QA activities. Provide training for new systems implementation. Work with management to perform root cause analysis and implement preventative action plans.
Requires: Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent degree as determined by written evaluation in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in any occupation in which the experience was gained involved in developing software test plans and conducting test cases testing (including Acceptance, System, Integration and Unit testing) and release of major sub systems using DB2, Oracle, Teamtrack, MVS, IBM 390, COBOL, JCL and File Aid, which experience must include at least 2 years managing testing activities for multiple applications/releases simultaneously and demonstrated experience maintaining CMM compliancy. Experience may be concurrent.
In lieu of Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience, a Master's Degree or foreign equivalent degree and 2 years of experience as indicated above are acceptable.
