Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day tactical management of issues relating to test as well as reproduction of customer problems within Engineering. Leadership responsibilities for the coaching, hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews of test engineers.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, advanced degree preferred
Experience:
3 - 7 years of engineering experience preferable in testing environment
2 years leadership experience
Skills:
Proven experience in leading test engineering projects
High knowledge of testing processes and procedures
Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations, and organization skills
Able to resolve problems in a timely manner
PCs and various software applications
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Defines product test plans based on requirements from Product Management, including liaising and negotiating with Product Management and Quality Assurance. Such planning includes resource, equipment, and scheduling.
Establishes test schedules and driving to successful and on-time delivery of product to QA.
Ultimate ownership for the technical quality, functional completeness, and on-time delivery of the product.
Provides the empirical check through all phases and manages the project through test phases.
Process: Projects under Plan-of-Record control with weekly status to be made available for all projects.
Independently manages time and prioritizes tasks to achieve results within cost and schedule constraints.
Leadership responsibilities include personnel management, providing technical and career guidance, performance evaluations, individual nurturing, etc.
Recruiting and training of new personnel.
