FireEye Sr. Staff Engineer Job Description
We are seeking seasoned senior software developers with the passion and experience necessary to design, develop, and support The FireEye?s leading edge product suites.
Responsibilities:
Development of the next generation network security and threat management product suite
Ownership of significant areas of the code for both new feature/functionality development as well as to maintain/redesign of the existing areas of the product
Continuous focus and contribution in the areas of performance, availability & scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the product
Active participation in our ongoing process enhancements and software development practices
Design and implement deep packet inspection for http and other Internet protocols
Active participation in customer/partner design meetings and general engagements
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant industry experience
5+ years of team lead experience
Strong C programming development skill
Expert knowledge of the software development life cycle and methodology
Experience with Agile programming and rapid prototyping a plus
Expert level knowledge of networking protocol like TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP is required
Experience with multi thread application development under Unix/Linux is a MUST
Senior level knowledge of network security is a MUST
Good knowledge of probability and statistics is a MUST
Experience with high performance systems is a MUST
Excellent inter-personal and teamwork skills
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience
