Sr. Statistical Development Engineer Job Description
This opportunity is based in Mountain View, CA office.
Analyze large amounts of retail sales data
Discover/develop new business-relevant variables/measures
Develop predictive models of sales
Specific measurement and attribution of incremental sales resulting from marketing and merchandising choices (e.g. price; promotions; display; advertising)
Using a wide variety of variables, including geo-demographic and sales/demand-based variable to reclassify key entities like product, store, neighborhood
Help develop methods of representing key information that makes it more accessible for less technical folks.
Skills and Experience Required:
Advanced degree or equivalent experience in applied math/statistical analysis
5+ years of relevant experience
Acquiring, shaping, and analyzing data with R
Strong foundation of time series and predictive analytics
Comfortable managing large data sets
Experience with CPG data a big plus
Ability to query databases with SQL and/or other programming languages
