The Storage Administrator is directly responsible for designing and supporting all FireEye TechOps Storage Infrastructure focusing on delivering services for FireEye external customers. The successful candidate must excel at multi-tasking and have the ability to ramp up quickly in a dynamic, high-tech environment. The candidate will possess in-depth technical skills.
Setup, configure, and perform day-to-day maintenance and administration of all storage infrastructures.
Perform day-to-day break-fix and troubleshooting storage related tickets.
Ensure data replication and backup integrity for SOX compliance.
Perform periodic updates and upgrades to all storage platforms.
Maintain disaster recovery data replication.
Maintain storage best practices and storage life cycle management.
Capacity Planning Data tiering and usage trending.
Interface with Business Units to understand current and future storage requirements.
Evaluate new technologies and recommend future direction of storage infrastructure.
Provide escalation support to other system administrators.
B.S. Engineering / C.S. / MIS degree.
7+ years of NetApp experience in a multi-datacenter, multiple filer environment using SnapVault and SnapMirror technologies.
7+ years of system administration experience in either Linux or Windows environments. Comfort with CLI management is a must. Scripting experience a plus.
Experience with NetApp FAS 2xxx, 3xxx and 62xx a must.
Experience with supporting VMWare vSphere 5 storage requirements and optimization.
NetApp certification highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of iSCSI, FC, CIFS, and NFS troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Working experience with 10Gb networks desirable.
VMWare Site Recovery Manager and SMVI experience a plus.
Disaster recovery experience a plus.
Scripting skills highly desirable.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively with a team of senior system administrators.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be proactive, able to work with little to no supervision, detailed orientated and possess a strong work ethic.
Must be willing to work some weekend shifts in support of maintenance and participate in on-call rotation duties. Must have operations experience in 24x7 environments.
