SR. SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR - LAWSON New Breed Logistics
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary of Functions:
The person hired into this position will serve as primary System Administrator for Lawson Application Systems (Financial/HR Suites) GL, AP, Payroll/HR). The system administrator will ensure that all aspects of the Lawson systems are maintained and operate as efficiently and productively as possible. Monitors system performance and takes corrective action when necessary. Performs upgrades, writes scripts and develops reports.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain all aspect of the Lawson system including:
Upgrade of multiple Environments and Applications (some are custom developed).
Create and maintain UNIX scripts used to interface data to and from third party software
Create or modify any Oracle database as needed
Help develop and implement security plan for multiple Lawson Environments as well as the associated databases
Knowledge of Crystal Reports for HR, Payroll, GL, and AP systems to assist in troubleshooting
Responsible for installation and maintenance of various Lawson products

IOS
Business Component Integrator (BCI)
Collaborative Commerce with Process Flow Professional
BSI
Enterprise Reporting Suite (with Crystal Reports)
Monitors all Lawson systems and takes appropriate action to ensure excellent performance and availability
Implements appropriate procedures to ensure the security of all systems and data
Develops, tests, and implements technical improvements to system configuration and Operation
Ensures appropriate standardized procedures for production activities such as backup, recovery, archiving, and scheduled reporting
Completes forms or updates databases to reflect all changes affecting the equipment or software inventories (for example, after equipment installations, software installations, or equipment moves)
Provides second-tier support to Support Center. Completes work necessary to resolve assigned help desk tickets within service windows and updates information in the
Incident ticketing system to completely describe ticket resolution. Refers problems beyond level two capabilities to level three service providers.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive Lawson Application Systems (Financial and HR Suites) GL, AP Payroll/HR) version 9 experience required.
Experience working with both Unix and Windows environments

Lawson Design Studio
Lawson Business Intelligence (LBI)
Lawson Security 9.0 including integration with Active Directory LDAP
Lawson Microsoft Add-Ins
Lawson Reporting Services
.Net and Java programming experience including web services, OOP, and layered development
Oracle database experience
Excel Add-Ins
4 year degree preferred
3-5 years of prior work experience required
Ability to work with end user community and provide support to Lawson users
Good communication skills
High level of customer service a must
