This is a hands on position for a seasoned Operation Engineer with direct experience with Amazon Web Services to work closely with a talented team of Software Engineers to create the next generation of cloud-based security services from scratch - and do it the right way. Requirements:
-3+ years experience as Linux System Administrator, CentOS preferred,
-3+ years experience scripting (shell, Perl, python or ruby) in a commercial environment. Python preferred.
-Experience in networking, specific to VLANs and routing and ability to analyze network connectivity problems
-Experience with Amazon Web Services and network security products a big plus
-Excellent organizational skills including ability to manage own time effectively
-Quick learner with desire to learn new technologies .
-Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
-Strong problem solving skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution, often under duress
-BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Experience working closely with Software Developers in a fast paced environment is a big plus.
-Previous experience in startups a plus.
Primary Responsibilities will be to manage PaloAlto networks cloud-based security services using Amazon Web Services and work closely with engineering team to constantly improve the reliability and effectiveness of our cloud-based services. You will also be working with product management team to roll out Demo infrastructure for sales and SEs
