Sr. System Applications Engineer LitePoint

Responsibilities:

Manage and support the development of complete manufacturing test solutions


Implement or drive the implementation of Software CM and QA practices to constantly improve the quality of LitePoint solutions


Develop, build and support LitePoint automated test solutions


Work closely with the FAEs, AEs and engineering teams in developing and supporting LitePoint solutions in the field


Drive the creation of an expansive LitePoint solutions library offering

Travel onsite to customers when necessary to support installation and/or troubleshooting when necessary.


Required Experience:

BSEE required, MSEE preferred

3-5 years test and measurement experience in the wireless telecom industry

Prior experience effectively managing small software development teams

Skills at performing the software build management and SCM roles, version control, release process, trunk/branch management, etc.

Applicants should have prior FAE/AE experience and/or enjoy working with people in a technical support role.

Prior experience developing and using automated RF/Wireless test systems

Prior experience writing automated test programs and scripts in C, C++, VB, Python and Perl. Strong software development skills are a must

- 802.15 Bluetooth 2.x, 3.x
- Cellular GSM/GPRS/EDGE, EVDO/HSDPA, LTE
- 802.16 WiMAX, GPS, FM, NFC knowledge a plus

Knowledge of the RF PHY requirements for the following wireless communications standards

Fluent in making RF/system level measurements per governing specifications and standards

Experience working with RF/system level test equipment such VSAs, VSGs, SAs, SGs, O-scopes, Power Meters, Vector and Scalar NA, Wireless Communication testers, etc.

Excellent troubleshooting, analysis, and problem solving skills

Strong presentation, written, and verbal skills

Enthusiastic about meeting the challenge of providing world class engineering services

This position involves some domestic and international travel (10-15)

Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin a plus
