As a member of the IT Infrastructure team, you support our 600 server on-site datacenter, network, SAN, and applications. You have sound understanding of systems and their interactions, can work independently but are also able to interface with DBAs and software developers.Primary responsibilities will include:
You can identify trends and trouble spots, and automate repetitive tasks. You have a solid understanding of J2EE, clustered, highly-available application support and deployment.
Extensive Architecture, Hardware, Configuration and Production Support experience supporting 24-7 real-time, mission-critical application and database servers under high availability environments
Comprehensive knowledge of implementing and supporting Linux/Oracle clusters
Knowledge in Storage Area Network, FC Zoning and MultiPathing (NetApp/Linux/Brocade)
Expertise in rapid server provisioning, RHEL Kickstart
Expertise in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting DHCP, DNS and NFS servers.
Expertise in Volume Management and Disk Management using Linux Volume Manager and RAID level configurations.
Design and implement new installations, provide hands-on support and perform upgrades to existing environments located at multiple Data Centers.
Produce build and operational documents, develop customized installations, install operating systems and patches, perform day-to-day operations for various client environments
Other tasks that will be required:
Ability to be on-call 24 x 7 during scheduled on-call times to respond to emergencies (about once every 6 weeks)
Any other tasks assigned by the company from time to time
Major contributor to corporate infrastructure vision and strategy.
Receives general direction from higher level supervisory or management staff.
May exercise technical and functional supervision over lower level staff including Infrastructure Project Lead. In the absence of the IT Manager, may be asked to manage the Group.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Linux/UNIX system administration (95% RHEL)
Windows system administration (5%)
4+ years system admin experience
Security-minded, seeking to implement best practices, yet pragmatic
DevOps, Puppet, or similar configuration management
Familiarity with distributed systems/Cassandra DB a plusSupport Software Development tools, frequent, rapid deployments, Continuous Integration
Strong Shell scripting/programming skills with experience in any scripting language(s.)
VMWare ESX, Virtualization; Vizioncore or Veeam a plus
subversion/git
AD, Kerberos and LDAP security
Cisco Networking skills a plus
Network, server and performance monitoring
Enterprise backup, TSM a plus
snapmirror/ snapshot or in depth knowledge of block level replication methodologies - NetApp a plus
Disaster Recovery and replication
SAN configuration and management ? over 350 TBs of SAN storage in a tiered environment
Heartbeat/Linux-HA clustering
J2EE (jboss/tomcat) application server support
