Sr. Systems Administrator/DevOps Engineer NeoSaej
As a Production Systems Administrator at neoSaej youll install, upgrade, monitor, and troubleshoot the systems and software behind our revolutionary platform. Youll apply your knowledge of web applications, Microsoft server technologies, network security, systems monitoring, and scripting to ensure smooth delivery of the neoSaej applications which are changing the dynamics of the online marketplace.
Responsibilities:
Automate deployment and maintenance procedures using industry-standard scripting languages.
Plan, test, and execute installations and upgrades of neoSaej software across multiple environments.
Design and build neoSaejs next-generation cloud-hosted infrastructure.
Configure and tune an enterprise monitoring system to efficiently detect existing issues and predict future issues based on trends.
Apply information security best practices and respond to security events.
Analyze processes, recommend improvements, and write process documentation.
Develop relationships with vendor support organizations and independently manage vendor issues to closure.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and periodic weekend and evening maintenance.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
BS/BA in Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 4 years Windows System Administration experience in a production environment.
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing Windows Server 2003 with Active Directory in a large server farm.
Required Skills/Knowledge
Ability and strong desire to automate system administration tasks using a scripting language (DOS batch, vbscript, perl, python, or PowerShell).
Expert in managing IIS/.Net applications in a Windows Server 2003 environment.
Working knowledge of SQL Server 2008 administration with SSRS and SSIS.
Working knowledge of core TCP/IP networking principles and key protocols, especially HTTP, DNS, and SMTP.
Ability to write simple SQL queries and integrate with scripting languages.
Understanding of web architecture and HTTP fundamentals.
Working knowledge of network monitoring concepts and tools.
Ability to produce the highest quality work in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines.
Desired Skills/Knowledge
Understanding of http load balancing concepts, especially with F5 BigIP hardware.
Basic understanding of virtual machine concepts, especially VMware ESX server.
Experience managing applications in a public cloud environment (Amazon/Azure/Rackspace).
