We are looking for an IT professional with 7-10 years of experience supporting and troubleshooting server based hardware and software. This is a fast paced start-up environment and you must be willing to assist, learn, and cross train in all areas. You will provide server and operation support for Palo Alto Networks' IT infrastructure. This will include, but not limited to VMware virtualization environment, Dell EqualLogic/NetApp Storage, backup and recovery systems, and other areas as needed.
Responsibilites:
- Architect, implement and support our storage, backup and recovery environment
- Architect, implement and support virtualization efforts throughout the company
- Help Architect, maintain and support our infrastructure business continuity and disaster recovery plan
- Document, resolve, and /or escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner
- Develop detailed IT project plans
- Collaborate with team and other departments to develop and deploy IT-related applications and services
- Ensure systems access and stability
- Research, procure and/or purchase IT related equipment, application and services
- Manage external vendors and services, including IT-related projects and deployments
- Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures
- Production support and issue resolution, analyze and resolve server and supporting software related issues. You will also be required to participate in an after-hours and weekend on-call phone rotation
- Maintain productive and professional relationship with users and IT customers. Strong “service oriented mentality†a must. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and willingness to learn
- 7+ years of technical, hands on experience supporting Server based systems and peripherals
- Recent hands-on technical experience building and supporting VMware virtualization and NetApp storage in a high availability environment
- Recent experience replicating data offsite for business continuity and disaster recovery purposes
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, VPN, Networking & other enterprise applications
- Exchange 2010, Blackberry BES server 5.0, Linux, scripting
- MCSE, VMware, Netapp
