We have experienced significant growth both in adoption by site publishers and share actions by users. Over 130,000 publishers have incorporated the ShareThis widget driving 4 billion+ page views monthly.
ShareThis is building on its success by developing an entirely new set of applications aimed at enhancing the user experience on the Web. You will be part of a team chartered with design, implementation, and delivery of this new initiative, and various other innovative projects in the future. This is a key initiative for the company since it reflects our presence with users; as such garners significant visibility at senior levels. Responsibilities of this position include innovative product development, technology architecture, product rollout, and business integration.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Innovative Engineering: The successful candidate will be responsible for taking active role in deploying new products that benefits users, publishers, and advertisers. You will collaborate with in a team that contributes to research and development of products, technology architecture, implementation and integration between various systems within the company that will collectively work together to deliver solutions.
Technology Architecture: As a staff member you will be responsible infrastructure that it is highly scalable, extensible, and adaptive as it evolves through the next 3 -18 months.
Idealized Candidate Profile:
The idealized candidate is most likely to be a hybrid: part sysadmin and part engineer. This needs to be a candidate that is clearly passionate about the challenges related to large infrastructure, applications associated with date processing, online advertising, and social media. It is essential for the candidate to have outstanding technical skills. From a technical perspective, the candidate must have direct domain experience in data product engineering, deep understanding of systems administration. The candidate must demonstrate first hand experience in building and deploying systems that scale. Implementation experience in SQL or NOSQL based systems, AWS, Cassandra, MongoDB, Hadoop, Hive, HDFS/HBase or equivalent is strongly preferred. Experience in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl and programming languages such as Java/C++ and/or Python, PHP, SQL is expected.
