Spanlink Communications is a leading provider of unified communications and contact center solutions. We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer (Sr. SE). A Spanlink Senior Systems Engineer is a pre-sales engineer that is responsible for assisting Spanlink Account Executives with IP Telephony, IP Contact Center, and 3rd party solution planning, design, and pricing. A Senior Systems Engineer assumes a leadership role for the Team and works independently on showcasing Cisco, 3rd party solutions as well as Spanlink Product and Services. They will analyze customer?s business needs to design and configure a Cisco Unified Communications Solution utilizing the Cisco UCC product suite, 3rd Party Software Products, and Spanlink Services independently to meet a specific customer needs. They must keep up to date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and services.
? Consult with business users to obtain requirements, specifications and agree on timeframe for completion of assigned requests.
? Interface with various vendors ? Cisco, Nuance, Calabrio, eGain and others.
? Write detailed requirements, system design, proposals and statements of work. Review specifications with business user to ensure compliance with requirements.
? Create comprehensive bill of materials adhering to Cisco?s SRND and best practices.
? Must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills. Able to deliver results in a high-energy/high-pressure environment.
? Must be a team player, willing to learn new technologies and be flexible to work outside of regular business hours.
? Ability for travel.
? Other duties as assigned.
III. Experience and Skills
? 5-7 years experience in designing Contact Center and or IPT solutions in a Cisco environment or competitive offerings
? 2-4 years of experience developing proposals and statements of work
? Contact Center Workflow, Recording, Reporting, and third party Contact Center and Telephony products required
? Excellent verbal / written communication skills
? Strong experience in gathering and analyzing business drivers as it relates to Contact Center and Telephony
? Strong Systems Engineering Skills
? Excellent Presentation skills
? Strong Customer facing skills
? Strong Documentation skills
? Ability to assume a leadership role
? Able to work independently
? Problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills required
? Able to work under tight deadlines
? Able to manage multiple simultaneous work assignments
? Self-help IVR and Natural Language application experience helpful
? Typically requires a BA/BS Degree in related discipline or related work experience
? Cisco certifications are a big plus
