Description:
The Systetms Engineer will assist with managing the day-to-day technical and pre-sales activities and needs of customers through the assigned region. The Systems Engineer interfaces at all levels within a customer's organization, and will coordinate highly technical information, business proposals and emerging requirements. The Systems Engineer will work closely with members of the sales team to help ensure that overall revenue and business objectives are met while ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.
Duties:
Primary Duties:
?Support sales team to drive the sale of our products and services and develop relationships with customers from a technical perspective
?Work closely with Account Managers through all stages of the sales cycle
?Work effectively in a team selling environment and have solid understanding of the strategic selling process
?Serve as the technical expert on the sales team
?Qualify opportunities from a technical perspective
?Perform needs analysis for qualified sales opportunities. Create technical requirements documentation for the implementation and integration of our products into customer environments
?Attend customer/prospect meetings and respond to customers' technology-related questions, assess customer needs, and make recommendations on the best product configuration/integration
?Produce and/or deliver customer specific demonstrations and technical presentations
?Develop technical responses for proposals and RFXs
?Interface closely with PLM and Engineering and provide feedback on competitive trends, market shifts and customer needs
?Provide expert-level guidance on the proper use and deployment of our products and services
?Participate in "proof of concept" and trial/evaluation activities that involve the installation, configuration/customization and testing of our products at customer sites
Qualifications:
?5-10 years of relevant telecommunications experience in technical marketing or pre-sales roles.
?BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a technical field is strongly preferred.
?Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
