AOptix is looking for a Senior Technical Field Support Engineer. As a Sr. Technical Field Support Engineer you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful launch and uptake of AOptix communications solutions. This person will act as the primary post-sales field support interface between our customers and our technical resources at HQ to assure successful field trials and initial deployments, resulting in maximum customer satisfaction. The person in this position will be required to travel to domestic US locations and occasionally to global locations for onsite field testing, troubleshooting, and/or customer field acceptance. This person will also be assisting during early deployments and initial technical ramp up.
Work closely with our customers, as well as interface with sales, product management, engineering and
Troubleshoot, debug and test to address field issues and product problems.
Provide technical feedback to quality, product management and engineering on issues found in the field tohelp improve the AOptix solution.
Contribute to guides and manuals and other AOptix technical product documentation to help during installation and troubleshooting.
Define, implement and maintain key metric data of customer cases, RMA and RMA turn-around-time, MTBF to drive product quality improvements and the overall customer experience.
Evaluate, validate, and resolve in-field customer technical issues.
Maintain AOptix?s professional image and ensure complete satisfaction in all aspects of interactions with customers.
Provide ongoing post-sales technical support to customers and look for opportunities to strengthen the partnership relationship.
QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS- EXPERIENCE:
7+ years of experience in post-sales support of carrier-class customers a must, wireless communications systems ideal. Must have a track record of communicating with and supporting very technically astute telecom customers.
Experience with point-to-point wireless backhaul systems preferred, specifically, 80GHz band experience a plus.
Experience supporting carrier-class wireless customers, such as Verizon, AT&T, Vodafone, a huge plus.
Minimum bachelor?s degree or extensive practical experience/knowledge in wireless technology.
Proven leadership ability and knowledge of wireless industry required.
Previous start-up experience is preferred.
Work will require upwards of 50% domestic travel to customer sites.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as polished presentation skills required.
