Job Description:
The Sr. Technical Writer will deliver technical documentation to Intacct?s customers while also helping to drive Intacct?s content strategy.
The Sr. Technical Writer will be customer-oriented, and will deliver content that helps users learn and get the most out of Intacct. The focus will be on determining how to best support a customer?s ability to self-service their information needs, using a mixture of in-product help, onscreen text, multimedia, and more. The Sr. Technical Writer will work on cross-functional teams, where they will use their background in content strategy, user interface, and accounting to contribute to feature development from the ground up.
In addition to delivering content, the Sr. Technical Writer will help drive the user experience and delivery strategies for content. This entails reviewing and providing recommendations for improving Intacct?s technology used for content generation and delivery.
Responsibilities?Plan content that supports customers? information needs, using a variety of delivery methods including onscreen text, context-sensitive help, multimedia, user guides, and more
?Research, write, maintain, and publish high-quality content, and ensure material is accessible and available to customers
?Participate in all aspects of documentation development from product planning through product release
?Interview subject matter experts
?Participate in strategic and tactical efforts to redesign/augment Intacct?s content to improve readability and usability of the information
?Provide technical recommendations for Intacct?s publishing and delivery platforms
Requirements?BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record
?7 to 10+ years relevant experience, such as technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing
?Direct experience as a technical writer for an accounting application is highly desired
?Experience with writing technical customer-facing materials, including online content
?Ability to work individually in a fast-paced environment
?Proficiency in RoboHelp, Madcap Flare or other online authoring tools
?Demonstrated ability to write and edit within tight deadlines
