Sr. Test Engineer AirCell

Description The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for leading a team responsible for testing software, hardware, and services, including developing test plans, automated test scripts and test cases, as well as execution of tests for product validation, based on system requirements.
Responsibilities:
?Provides test project leadership and day-to-day supervision for test engineers assigned to project.
?Reviews and provides input to product requirements for completeness, accuracy and testability and develops an appropriate test strategy to accurately measure product requirements, beginning with the product concept phase.
?Develops overall test plan, determines overall effort and tools needed, works with management to acquire needed resources for project, establishes test coverage, and works with development team and program management to determine schedule for test effort. Works from initial assumptions at concept stage and iteratively refines planning as project progresses.
?Develops implements and maintains automated and manual test cases.
?Conducts iterative testing of hardware and software development deliverables.
?Utilizes HP Quality Center to document test case, test results and provide test metrics to team and management.
?Effectively and regularly communicates with direct management and project team, as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Minimum experience (industries, years etc)
?10 + years of embedded Software, Firmware , Hardware, and/or System testing experience;
?5+ years experience leading product test efforts in industrial, telecommunications, aerospace and/or regulated electronics industries, including hardware, software, environmental and regulatory testing.
?3+ years of experience developing test automation utilizing a scripting language, preferably Python.
?Industry experience in wired and wireless data communication, telecommunication and/or satellite communications, including IP, VOIP, and cellular protocols
?Experience working within both Iterative (Agile, Scrum ,etc ) and waterfall development models
?Proficiency in Linux operating system environment and use of low-level Linux system tools.
?Team -oriented leadership style and the ability work with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
?Experience working with off-shore development and test teams
?Flexibility and a positive attitude towards change in a fast moving environment.
?Background in conducting environmental and regulatory tests (DO-160, FCC, etc.) and use of lab equipment such as DVMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, RF analyzers, temperature and humidity chambers, and external lab resources
?Experience testing mobile platform (iPhone, Android, Blackberry) applications a strong plus.
?Avionics industry, DO-160, DO-254 and DO-178 experience or knowledge a plus;
?Audio parameter testing and voice quality analysis a plus
?Satellite communication experience a plus

Minimum Education required:
?Bachelor?s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering
