Sr. UI Engineer is responsible for creating innovative web experiences and engaging applications in a fast-paced, iterative/agile development environment.
Reports to: Director, Technology Services
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of creative, information architecture and development teams to code websites that wow iCrossing clients
Help the team to research and utilize the best technology that meets the requirements of the project
Code major modules of the application independently utilizing object-oriented patters and best practices
Participate in unit tests, code reviews and help troubleshoots other developers? code
Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of the application
Qualifications:
Expert in modern web development with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Expert with one or more JavaScript libraries (jQuery, YUI, etc.)
Expert in progressive enhancement techniques for supporting older browsers
Experience with developing for mobile and Responsive Design
Familiar with one or more web frameworks (Rails, Django, Node, PHP, etc.)
Familiar with CSS preprocessors (Sass, LESS, etc.
Familiarity with development and deployment tools (Sublime Text, Aptana, Coda, SVN, GIT, Zira, Spira, etc.)
Portfolio with at least two sites that best showcases the code
