It is our mission to turn our website into a visually compelling art buying experience across desktop, tablet and mobile platforms. We are seeking a passionate and talented Senior Technical Visual Designer to join our Creative team. This individual would be experienced in current UX/UE practices while designing attractive marketing web assets. Bringing the UX/UE practices to life in a strong compelling visual is an important detail to this position.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling visual designs of interactive experiences for users of a product, website or mobile device.
Create dynamic, functional, user-centered designs through concepting and storyboarding for new features; producing style guides and templates to creating functionally-accurate wireframes.
Draw on results from user research and workflow analysis in order to design user-centric experiences.
Work with engineers and developers to ensure that new features are implemented according to clear, well-documented visual design specifications.
Communicate and present design strategy/rationale to the UE team and executive stakeholders.
5+ years of visual design experience, with strong skills (layout, hierarchy, typography, color theory, patterns) and a great attention to detail.
Experience designing for the web (e-commerce), and an understanding of web design tools.
Expert-level knowledge with design tools such as Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign
Portfolio examples of UX design concepts, either from scratch or by using an existing design library as a foundation.
Experience in pitching and presenting design work; strong interpersonal and client management skills.
Experience working as the primary designer through a full product life cycle - from concept to commercial success.
Familiarity with designing for scalability, accessibility, and localization/internationalization preferred.
Experience with mobile platforms preferred (including Android, BlackBerry, HTML5 and iOS).
Experience with Agile and Waterfall development processes preferred.
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
