Sr. Visual UX Designer Gale Technologies

At Gale Technologies, we are launching the next phase of our company's growth. We are in the process of hiring a Visual/Graphic Web Designer to help us build our next generation cloud orchestration platform. We are looking for a Visual Designer with strong creative skills for both web, and desktop apps. This is a design position, not a code/development position. We have plenty of smart engineers already around for that.

Have superb information and graphic design skills;
Can crank out multiple unique stylistic approaches to a problem and consistently deliver brilliant design on a deadline.
have passion for delivering strong, clean, and modern designs that reflects the product vision and take the customer experience at heart
Understand interface and interaction design principles as they relate to web sites, web applications, and other environments.
Have a solid understanding each platform design constraints (Desktop, Wed, Mobile)
Communicate clearly about design, from delivering persuasive presentations to writing detailed style guides.
Understand the capabilities and limitations of common GUI technologies.
Work with Engineering to meet product requirements
Love to be the voice of the customer during Engineering review, and communicate pros and cons of your designs
Are expert in Adobe Creative Suites (Fireworks, Photoshop, AI, ?) or similar products
Can write UI guidelines for front-end engineering team
Can write the book on Wireframing to Visual Design process
Like to help on the marketing front for corporate web site and other custom illustrations when needed

Qualifications:

Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience minimum in build designs for web sites, web applications, desktop applications that are live or have been released.
Bachelor?s degree in graphic design, HCI or a closely related ?eld
Must be able to perform and interact creatively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, operating in a true start-up and ready to fully participate within a high commitment, lean, aggressive team
Master deliveries from design comps to production HTML/CSS templates, including all graphical elements
Must have experience in designing Web 2.0 like web apps. Print and illustrations is a plus.
Must have experience with web product skinning
Strong experience with Multi-platform / Multi-browser portability issues
Background/experience working in IT environments related companies is a plus
Multi-site Development Team experience also a big plus
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Understanding of scripting language would be a plus (JQuery, JS, JSP, Ruby)
Knowledge of branding and identity requirements
Must have online UI/design portfolio prior to interview process
