ModSpace seeks an eager and engaged Staff Accountant to join the team at our North American headquarters in Berwyn, PA (suburban Philadelphia).
This is a critical role with involvement in many highly visible areas of our business operations:
Oversight of key treasury related functions
cash management, receivables & debt analysis (including interest expense and financing fees)
tracking of accounts payable & accrued expenses
Monthly general ledger close, balance sheet and income statement analysis,
Internal and external financial reporting
Internal controls including SOX compliance
Day to day responsibilities may include:
Responsibility for month end close procedures
presentation of financial statement results to Accounting Manager
Preparation and review of monthly journal entries and reconciliations
Assistance with treasury accounting
journal entry processing
wire transfer processing and other treasury activities
Assistance with daily tracking of Company debt balances including reporting to senior management
Draft and execution of processes and controls to improve documentation and workflows
Ad hoc reporting and analyses
Assistance with external/internal audit process
including assisting with preparation of audited financial statements, footnotes and supplemental information
For consideration, a ModSpace Staff Accountant must have:
A Bachelor?s degree (or higher) in Accounting
A minimum of 1-2 years? experience in a public accounting audit firm
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
A demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, handle multi-task situations and coordinate efforts across business functions
The below are strongly Preferred:
CPA or progress towards completion
Experience with SOX compliance and documentation requirements
Leasing industry and/or other financial services industry experience
Familiarity with Oracle accounting software
All ModSpace team members must have:
PC Proficiency in a Windows environment with MS Office Suite
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
