Overview:This is an exempt position reporting to the Senior Accountant this position will work with the accounting/finance team and perform various accounting and finance functions including account and bank reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, review transactions, assist in the month-end close process, and other ad hoc analysis as needed. This is a dynamic department and responsibilities will change as needed. This applicant should be a self starter, be able to work under pressure and thrive in a challenging, dynamic team focused environment.
Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
Responsibilities:
Monthly closing of the general ledger.
Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Journal entries and reconciliations
Experience with Microsoft products, windows, excel, word, PowerPoint, and General Ledger Software.
Job duties will be primarily data entry and related functions involving receivables, payables, and bank transaction processing.
Assisting and augmenting the work of all the others within the finance department and to serve in a temporary capacity to maintain consistent processing during periods of growth and the added volume of transactions which will accompany that growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Accounting.
Candidates must have at least three to five years of general accounting experience
Bachelor's degree preferred
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position
