In this new role, you will utilize your solid accounting skills, technical aptitude and awesome communication skills to deal with our Fortune 500 clients, Elance Sales and Operations team. In addition, we want you to be smart, have a great attitude and to exemplify greatness in all you do.In this role, you will:
-Monitor transactions at Elance.com to determine invoice and payment amounts
-Maintain a database for all clients' information, contracts, quotes, PO's and SOW's
-Be the primary liaison between clients and the Sales/Accounting team
-Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Accounting to onboard clients and provide on-going billing and payment support
-Create and submit invoices to clients via email or web portal
-Track, calculate, and reconcile payments including bank transfers and collections
-Enter journal entries relating all clients' activities
-Maintain receivables accounts in good standing
-Provide client activity reports to Management, Sales, and clients as requested
-Analyze and propose process and profit margin improvement
-Assist with external and regulatory audits as needed
-Other special projects as required
To win in this role, you need:
-BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred or demonstrated proficiency in US GAAP
-2 to 4 years of industry experience in internet/ e-commerce preferred
-Solid Excel (pivot tables, look up tables) and MS Office skills required
-Strong analytical and computer skills; prior experience in Oracle financials is a plus
