Position Description:Revision3, a Discovery Digital video network, is looking for a highly motivated and capable individual to join our Accounting Department as a Staff Accountant.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Provide support for the month end close process including reconciliation of prepaid, fixed assets, inventory, deposits, other receivables and payables.
Process accounts payable, includes ensuring proper authorization of expenditures, preparing journal entries and disbursement of funds
Maintain vendor profiles - set up new vendors and obtain W9 forms
Process deposits and manage collection of account receivables
Provide support for payroll administration and related reporting
Improve and maintain company records system
Assist with employee expense report processing
Reconcile company credit card transactions
Assist with tax filings, including Form 1099
Providing support for various accounting and finance projects
Required Skills:
2-3 years accounting experience, preferably with some background in the digital media or entertainment industry
Strong knowledge of Excel and Quickbooks
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Extreme attention to detail
Strong organization and prioritization skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting with a solid understanding of GAAP
