This position is a key role within the Finance group that will support various aspects of finance and accounting for the company. Primary Objectives and Tasks:
Assist with the month-end Accounting close, including the processing of journal entries into Oracle and preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
Preparation of the monthly Accounting and Financial Reporting workbook.
Maintain Actual, Budget, and Forecast financial and operational data in Hyperion.
Maintain monthly journal entries, reconciliations and related information for internal record-keeping purposes and in preparation for annual Financial Audit process; provide records and associated data to internal staff and auditors. Develop schedule for annual Financial Audit process.
Prepare foreign entries in Oracle and coordinate monthly accounting transactions for foreign subsidiaries.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting.
2 years? experience in Corporate or Public Accounting.
Thorough knowledge and application of GAAP.
Experience in effectively maintaining and reporting on high volumes of data.
Experience effectively communicating (verbally and in writing) with both internal and external contacts.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word, required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle, Discoverer, and Hyperion Financial Systems.
Experience in Life Science or related industry.
Experience with International Operations and Consolidations of separate legal entities.
