Staff DSP Software Engineer Audience
Audience is reverse engineering the human auditory pathway to enable intelligent signal processing for communications speech enhancement and other applications.
Audience is looking for an experienced DSP software engineer to port audio DSP algorithms for speech enhancement. The candidate would be responsible for qualifying, testing, integrating and optimizing signal processing routines. The candidate would also be responsible for interacting with audio algorithm designers heavily in order to optimize and efficiently port new algorithms.
Experience, Skills and Education Required
Strong coding and optimization skills in C, C++, and assembly.
Strong software engineering design, integration and test methodologies.
Experience with DSP implementations including FFTs, filters, resamplers, etc.
Real-time audio processing experience a must.
Experience with one or more fixed point DSP processors and development tools.
Experience with floating-point DSP processors greatly desired.
Comprehension of fixed point arithmetic, and porting floating point algorithms to fixed point.
Familiarity with digital signal processing algorithm design fundamentals.
Experience with Matlab and Microsoft Visual Studio required.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Able to work independently as well as in teams.
An ability and willingness to juggle multiple assignments, adapt to fast-changing circumstances, and do what it takes to get the job done.
Minimum of a BS or related degree (MSEE preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
At least 8 years experience.
Telecom and/or audio industry experience required (e.g. AEC, audio codecs, speech codecs, noise reduction/cancellation, etc.)
Strong math background highly desirable.
