Staff Engineer / Technical Lead Achronix Semiconductor

Job Description/Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
? Planning and execution of SERDES characterization including blocks such as PLLs, I/Os, and
DLLs. SERDES electrical standards compliance testing at the IC level. Analyze characterization
results and create characterization report. Rates from 1.035gbps to 12.75Gbps. Automation
program development and maintenance.
? FPGA centric reference design development: Architecture, detailed design , coding ,
bring up , testing , performance measurements / demonstration and delivery for
Customers. These system level reference designs should meet the specifications from
Customers & Achronix?s sales/ marketing teams. Domain expertise will include PCIE ?
interface, Networking and Communications.
? Will support various development groups in chip, board / system validation and
characterization.
? Design, develop, bring up, test and release ? reference platforms and custom high
performance boards. Involves associates software support package and firmware
developments. Will work with sub contractors for board design and with board assembly
houses.
? Responsible for Achronix?s Serdes IP product development and support.
? Develop Technical notes, design guidelines, Compliance Test Reports for various
Serdes & ip interfaces.
Secondary Responsibilities:
? System test automation and hardware validation in lab.
? Achronix?s FPGA ? interface/ standards compliance validation and characterization for
functionality, power and performance.
Skills:
? Verilog / vhdl ? rtl coding / simulation and validation in FPGA based boards.
? High speed communication and networking design, memory interface designs.
? Hands on experience in debugging PCBs, using high end scopes, Logic Analyzers,
BERT scopes, spectrum analyzers , compliance testing in a hardware lab.
? Firmware / code development for embedded micro controllers using C, C++.
? Develop/ automate tests and test scripts.
? Strong in technical writing and communication (verbal) skills.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years performing the tasks outlined in Job Description / responsibilities section.
Education:
? MSEE preferred.
